Top 5 Super Steps to Becoming a Morning Workout Hero:

All the pros know, working out first thing is the best time of day to exercise. Accomplishing the first feat of the day, mentally and physically has scores of benefits: boosted metabolism, increased energy, stress stabilization, and much more. Read on to find your new superpower in getting yourself out of that comfy bed and over the first obstacle of the day: your workout.

1. Set your clothes out the night before

Zombie alert: first thing in the morning, you will be a zombie. Our brains just don't always work very well at the crack of dawn. Unless you want to go into public looking a tattered mess, think about your outfit(s) the night before, when you have more energy to match your shoes with your shirt.

2. Imagine how you will feel AFTER you exercise

Want to discover your Superhero Self? Conquer something challenging first thing in the morning! Think about how great you will feel after your workout is done. Not only does it make you feel good both physically and mentally, but it also makes you feel a sense of accomplishment – making you unstoppable throughout the rest of the day!

3. Plan out your workout ahead of time

Writing out your plan of attack mentally prepares you for your workout. Wrapping your mind around the fact that you're getting up early and exercising, is half the battle, fight it first and the war will be won. You can also let Coach Corinne create your battle plan with ready-to-go workouts at her Bootycamp group class or your own Personal Training session ;)

4. Remind yourself the downsides of missing your workout

Call them Jedi mind tricks if you will, but your mentality can be like Darth Vader, leading you to the Darkside. Reminding yourself of what you may feel like if you miss your workout, (read: lack of energy, inability to cope with stress, weight gain, etc.). These tricks may even get you levitating to the gym.

5. Prepare your breakfast and/or lunch

Never underestimate the time-saving power of meal prep! It will save your buns from eating too many buns in the drive-thru. We are all busy, so save yourself the carbs and spend a little time at home preparing simple, easy recipes for your week.
